way. May be you feel crazy if you realize there is no orange on trees after
several months or years of your hard work to plant and take care the trees. Not fruiting is one of orange tree fruit problem. So
what happen with this tree?
Reason Why Orange Tree Not Fruiting
There are some reasons why
the orange tree have no oranges fruit on tree. Even your orange tree has flower
but the tree still cannot produce fruit. Below are common reason why orange
tree not fruiting:

The flowers are not
pollinated and cannot produce fruit. Flowers can be pollinated with insect or
wind help which is difficult if the orange tree planted in a protected area
such as greenhouse or sunroom.

Improper watering,
fertilizing and/or pruning

The tree age is not
enough to produce fruit
4.
There is not enough
sunlight received by the tree
5.
Cold temperatures
can kill the flower buds
How To Get Fruits On OrangeTrees
After you find out the
cause of orange tree is not fruiting then you can try below solution to relief
the situation:
1.
If the tree have
flowers but no fruit, it is possible that the flowers are not pollinated yet.
You can try to give the tree a shake. Branches shake will loose the pollen and
allow it to fall onto the pistil. You should do shaking regularly over a period
of several days.

Take care your
orange tree properly.

Watering

If there is no rain,
you need to water the tree weekly. You may water slowly by hand or use drip
irrigation so the soil has enough time to absorb the water.

If you use heavy
clay as growing media, you need to give water frequently but in smaller
quantity since this type of soil does not absorb moisture.

Fertilizing

Use fertilizer
specially designed for orange trees with balance composition of essential
nutrients. Too much nitrogen will prevent the tree from flowering. Keep in mind
to read and follow label instruction before you apply the fertilizer.

If your tree is in
the lawn, you may use mulch to cover the soil over the tree’s root zone so you
will not have grass grown in that area.

Pruning

Pruning is needed to
remove dead and damaged limbs, give the orange tree good shape and good
structure. Remove branches from the canopy every 3 or 4 years so you can see
spotted sun light under the tree. The light is needed to have good production.
Removing part a branch called heading back will encourage new growth of flowers
and fruits.
3. Have you experienced
unusual a warm spell followed by a sudden return to cold temperatures or
unusual cold temperatures? If yes you need to throw a blanket over the canopy
of small tree. This temperature can prevent the flower buds from opening or
make the loss of flower buds.
